Boy (and girl) Handicraft Idea-Tree Blocks

TreeBl

Tree Blocks, where have you been all my life? Aren’t they wonderful, amazing, incredible, super-duper? I stumbled upon these over at Dawn’s blog and decided then and there that my dh (he doesn’t know it, yet) is going to make these for ds’s birthday this year. If you are not so ‘chain saw’ inclined, you can buy them here and here. Here is a book that tells you how to make them.

What a great handicraft idea for a boy to make with his daddy!

    Linda,

I can't get a couple of the links to work. The 2nd and 4th link. These look like a lot of fun.

We love our tree blocks! We bought them premade because we have maybe one hand saw around here, somewhere, maybe. I think I enjoy setting up house for our gnomes as much as my children!

I've loved these too, ever since I saw them in the Magic Cabin catalogue. My husband wasn't very impressed though, I think due to the fact they were populated with faerie people! You'll have to let us know how yours turn out.

I dragged my husband (who thinks blogging is some sort of illness) to the computer to show him these. He just rolled his eyes & told me to add it to his list, he, he! My son heard us (5 yr) & was so excited, I think his enthusiasim will win dad over.

Why didn't they have something like this when my kids were younger?!? Now I will have to wait until I have grandkids to buy things like this.
