Aren't these crocheted bookmarks simply lovely? Karen from Poland made them and I think this is a great winter handicraft idea. Not to hard, not too easy, but just right. I plan to make some with my daughters and give them as Christmas presents. That is, after I make several for myself! You can find the pattern and instructions here. If you decide to make them, please visit Karen's blog and thank her for sharing.

Hannah and Lindsay have been crocheting a lot lately and have a pattern for making a bookmark, but adding a bead into it along the way. Just yesterday Hannah finished a small draw-string bag that she is keeping clipped to her with all of her lists in it (I wonder where she could have gotten that?). If you're interested in that pattern I'll ask them about it. Right now Lindsay is in the process of crocheting me a shawl, she already finished hers, I'll have to get her to post a picture of it.

Lora, I like the bead idea as well. Send the pattern if you can. We are not avid crocheters, but dabble, so we may not be able to do it; but it would be nice to take a look at it and see. This will be the first time we've used fine thread instead of yarn. Yikes!

What a great idea! I really should start teaching my girls how to crochet!
