We went to a birthday costume party. I flew in on my goose. Can you guess who I was? Beside me is the Lady of Shallot, Queen Susan of Narnia and Mary Poppins! In front of me is King Peter of Narnia, Lady Arwen, another Peter, a cowboy and a ballerina.
Very fun. Very, very, very fun!

Can you please specify which Children's Bible you use for your Bible readings in Year 1? Just curious...

Stacy, it is out of print. We love this particular one. It is called The Children's Bible and is published by Golden Press. It is what my parents read to us as children. I found two copies at Half Price Books several years ago. I like the realistic pictures 0We don't like silly cartoon characters for Bible stories.) I want my children to know how serious and wonderful it is. For some of my children I read straight from the Bible using Penny Garndner's wonderful reference lists.

ReplyDelete1.) does "(rdr)" stand for an independantly read book?
2.) I didn't see a few books from the booklist on the schedule - St. George and the Dragon, William Tell, North American Indians and Geoge Washington (I'm assuming this one goes somewhere around 23 or 24?) Any special weeks for these to go?
3.) Are there any books you suggest for the Ocean Life 6 week study?
4.) And finally, are "Aladdin" (from week 14) and "Viking Tales" (starting in week 16) two additional books to add to the booklist? (I see them on the schedule, but not the booklist)
