Introducing CharlotteMasonHelp.com

Hello Again. I've been enjoying the summer and trying to stay cool. My inbox is full as I have not answered any emails all month. If you have commented or written to me, please be patient and I'll eventually get to each one.

As many of you know, I have written a lot of articles on this blog about the Charlotte Mason method. I realize that it can be difficult for new readers to find them so I have a new website that is devoted to Charlotte Mason help articles and our curriculum. It is located at http://www.charlottemasonhelp.com/ . I hope this new site will be of help to those of you who are interested in Miss Mason's philosophy and methods of education.

Some of you have showed your appreciation by ordering from my bookstore and amazon link. I am deeply grateful for your thoughtfulness. Warm hugs to you.

It is time for me to say goodbye to the blogging world for now. It has been a joy to serve you in this small way. Thank you for all the encouraging words so many of you have sprinkled throughout this blog. You are the ones who let me know that someone was reading and was blessed.

I don't plan to remove HIGHER UP AND FURTHER IN blog, so you can still browse the archives if you wish. Most of the homeschooling posts will be available over at the new site as well.

NOTE: Links to files may be out of date. Files can now be found at: http://www.scribd.com/lindafay

Warmly!

Thank you so much for all you have done! You are such a HUGE help and encouragement. I never got to ask a question of you, because my daughter is only 11, but I was going to ask for the future, how you trained, guided... your amazing daughters into the world of blogging, for those of us who are new to blogging. Looking forward to your new site. Many blessings to you and yours.

You will be greatly missed. I am happy that you will leave your articles up and appreciate that you set up the new website. I am positive that so many more will be richly blessed just as I have. Your articles were and are always so inspirational to me. I remember at the beginning, when I first found your blog, after reading your articles my thoughts were always...."I can't do this. This is to big for me. I will never be able to produce children with such discipline, character and with so many abilities and interests." But then always, at the botom of the article I would read..."one step at a time". That always felt like a big drink of fresh water, and I would feel hopeful. I really don't think that my words can express how appreciative I am of you and of all the time you spent pouring out from your experience and knowledge on this blog. Thank you, and may God continue to bless you and your beautiful family

  9. I am going to miss you very much! I look here often when I am planning a new school year, when my daughter is driving me crazy :) and when I need a little encouragement. Thank you for leaving it up. I like Renee's idea of printing it and saving it in a binder. I may try that. I hope you and your family are doing well and just too busy. Thank you for always responding to my e-mails and for your thoughtfulness.
    Love,
    Sharron

Wow, I am so sad. You are absolutely my favorite blog. The help I have found here has been invaluable. I am a much better homeschooling Mom because you gave of yourself in this way. What a beautiful gift of your time! I have a hunch that you had fun doing it. This blog is too beautiful not to have been a labor of love.

    Blessings,

  27. Lindafay,
Many many many thanks for the generous help you have given (and still give) to those of us who are looking for a vision of what CM could look like in our homes. I have learned so much from you, and I really appreciate your opening your life for so many years so I could learn from it. You have been a blessing to our family, and I wish you all of the Lord's many blessings as you continue to live and teach and everything else that will happen in the coming years.
    Thank you.

Oh, I am sooo sad! I've only commented once but your site is my homeschool lifeline. It's your footsteps that I carefully follow. I will miss you very much!! However, I understand and cannot thank you enough for leaving your site up. I also have printed some of your material and have it tucked away in my homeschool 'control' binder. Perhaps you could make a book with this deep treasure you've created.

May you be filled to overflowing with the endless riches of His dear and precious presence.
    Thankful, grateful - but sad,
    Susie

I just recently found your blog and it has been a great help and blessing to me. I'm just starting HS this fall with my DD8 and your articles helped piece so many things together for me. Your CM Help blog is aptly named! I'm sorry to learn you are leaving blog-dom but so glad I can still gleam from your wisdom - with you having been a PS teacher and HS makes it all the sweeter. Thanks you so much, blessings,M

    Lindafay,
Just want to add my "ditto" to all of the above. I found your site about a year ago and have been a faithful reader, helped and encouraged many times. I've been fast and furiously making copies for my own 3-ring notebook, just in case I check back here one day and it's no longer open. Your web-site is also helpful, but I miss the comments and your responses. Totally understand how busy you are with your small hobby(?) farm, but I surely will, and already do, miss you and news of your lovely family.

    Sincerely,
    Judi

    Hello Lindafay,

I was stunned to read of your step away from blogging, but happy for you nonetheless. I've been revisiting your site to re-engage myself in our CM home, and I am beginning to feel refreshed once again. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

A couple of weeks ago I was visiting your site, and I saw a link (I think it was under Latest Finds) to a host of courses available online through a major university. Unfortunately, I forgot to bookmark it, and now that I've come back to look for it, it's gone. Would you happen to have that link still available, and if so, would you please be so kind as to send it to me? No rush; in your good time.

Thank you so very much, and I wish you much happiness and joy.

    God Bless,
    Shani

  39. I was wondering when this day might come for you... I always tried to figure out how you managed it all so well. This site has been such a blessing to me and it is actually what helped me discover my own homeschool curriculum. I, like a few others commenting here, have a binder full of print offs from your posts and am sooooo so glad to see all the stuff organized very beautifully at the help site. You are amazing! I don't know if CM would have ever "come alive" for me without your help :-) Thank you!

  40. I also have printed many of your articles, and found them very inspiring and motivating. When I read your goodbye it made me feel rather sad, but thankyou for sharing your knowledge and tips with us, I'm sure it has helped many.
