Introducing CharlotteMasonHelp.com

Hello Again. I've been enjoying the summer and trying to stay cool. My inbox is full as I have not answered any emails all month. If you have commented or written to me, please be patient and I'll eventually get to each one.

As many of you know, I have written a lot of articles on this blog about the Charlotte Mason method. I realize that it can be difficult for new readers to find them so I have a new website that is devoted to Charlotte Mason help articles and our curriculum. It is located at http://www.charlottemasonhelp.com/ . I hope this new site will be of help to those of you who are interested in Miss Mason's philosophy and methods of education.

Some of you have showed your appreciation by ordering from my bookstore and amazon link. I am deeply grateful for your thoughtfulness. Warm hugs to you.

It is time for me to say goodbye to the blogging world for now. It has been a joy to serve you in this small way. Thank you for all the encouraging words so many of you have sprinkled throughout this blog. You are the ones who let me know that someone was reading and was blessed.

I don't plan to remove HIGHER UP AND FURTHER IN blog, so you can still browse the archives if you wish. Most of the homeschooling posts will be available over at the new site as well.

NOTE: Links to files may be out of date. Files can now be found at: http://www.scribd.com/lindafay

  1. LindaFay, I don't believe I've ever commented, but I subscribe to your blog via email. It has blessed my life and our homeschooling in many ways. Thank you so much. I'm glad to find out the archives will remain. May God richly bless you and your family.

  2. I rarely comment, but have been a faithful reader. Thank you for all the encouragement. I will miss your voice. God bless you.

Thank you so much for all you have done! You are such a HUGE help and encouragement. I never got to ask a question of you, because my daughter is only 11, but I was going to ask for the future, how you trained, guided... your amazing daughters into the world of blogging, for those of us who are new to blogging. Looking forward to your new site. Many blessings to you and yours.

  4. Elena Herrera29.7.09

You will be greatly missed. I am happy that you will leave your articles up and appreciate that you set up the new website. I am positive that so many more will be richly blessed just as I have. Your articles were and are always so inspirational to me. I remember at the beginning, when I first found your blog, after reading your articles my thoughts were always...."I can't do this. This is to big for me. I will never be able to produce children with such discipline, character and with so many abilities and interests." But then always, at the botom of the article I would read..."one step at a time". That always felt like a big drink of fresh water, and I would feel hopeful. I really don't think that my words can express how appreciative I am of you and of all the time you spent pouring out from your experience and knowledge on this blog. Thank you, and may God continue to bless you and your beautiful family

  5. Anonymous29.7.09

I have lots of your blog printed, hole-punched and in a three ring binder. I refer to it over and over and over again! My thanks to you run very deeply!
Thank you for leaving up your site. And thanks for the new one that I'll visit in a minute. You'll be missed!

  6. lindafay,

You know how much I have appreciated your blog over the years. We have emulated many of your ideas in our home. Thanks for shining a light and sharing all that you have in the past.

    Barb-Harmony Art Mom

  7. Dear Lindafay,
I'm also one of those who never commented, but for now I want to thank you for all the articles you put up. I was always inspired. Especially I was impressed of your CM-organisation. It inspired me to organize my homeschool better! Thanks, also for the new website, which will be a tool for the future!

  8. Anonymous29.7.09

Hello- I am another anonymous reader that has been enormously blessed by your blog. I am very sad to hear that you will no longer be blogging.

    Thank you,

  9. I am going to miss you very much! I look here often when I am planning a new school year, when my daughter is driving me crazy :) and when I need a little encouragement. Thank you for leaving it up. I like Renee's idea of printing it and saving it in a binder. I may try that. I hope you and your family are doing well and just too busy. Thank you for always responding to my e-mails and for your thoughtfulness.

  10. I've really enjoyed your blog. I'm glad you'll have a CM site and I'm sure it will come in handy as well. Best wishes on your upcoming school year!

  11. Lindafay - what an amazing site you have made - Charlotte Mason Help - thank you. Thanks too for this great blog. You commented on a post in my blog not so long ago and I have to say I felt really honoured that you'd done that. Thank you.

  12. Lindafay, I am so grateful for your gentleness and strength in passing along the wisdom you have gained for Charlotte Mason and life in general. I will no longer be homeschooling, but I will always treasure the insights you shared, and try to incorporate them into parenting no matter what our school situation.

God bless you and your family!

Wow, I am so sad. You are absolutely my favorite blog. The help I have found here has been invaluable. I am a much better homeschooling Mom because you gave of yourself in this way. What a beautiful gift of your time! I have a hunch that you had fun doing it. This blog is too beautiful not to have been a labor of love.

PS Your 7 yr breakdown saved my life this year!

  18. Anonymous31.7.09

Thank you so much for your blog. I will miss reading your posts, and continue to peruse your files. I'm learning so much from you. Your blog is a bright spot during days of discouragement. I hope all is well with you.

  21. Thank you Linda so much for your support and wonderful advice on your blog. I have thoroughly enjoyed following you here and learning from you.

  22. Your blog is such a blessing. I appreciate all the hard work you do that we all benefit from. I just gave you an award for your blog. Swing by to claim it.

  23. Linda,

Thank you for the help you have been to me. I have shared your site with many and they have all been inspired.

Enjoy your family and farm but we'll miss you!!

  24. I, too, have never commented. And I can't remember how I stumbled across your blog. But it has been a Godsend for me as I've been preparing to homeschool. I check it regularly as I prepare for each subject. I must admit that I went into a little period of mourning when I heard you would no longer be blogging. But I'm so grateful for all you have shared! Blessings,

  25. Thank you for all the kind words! So glad to be of some help to you all.

Blessings to each and every one of you!

  26. I have read and re-read your blog, only to find new things every time. And imagine my delight to find not one, but *two*, articles in my new "well-planned day" homeschool planner! I never knew you by any name other than lindafay. :)

Thanks for keeping the blog up and I will bookmark your new site too.

  27. Lindafay,
Many many many thanks for the generous help you have given (and still give) to those of us who are looking for a vision of what CM could look like in our homes. I have learned so much from you, and I really appreciate your opening your life for so many years so I could learn from it. You have been a blessing to our family, and I wish you all of the Lord's many blessings as you continue to live and teach and everything else that will happen in the coming years.
    Thank you.

Oh, I am sooo sad! I've only commented once but your site is my homeschool lifeline. It's your footsteps that I carefully follow. I will miss you very much!! However, I understand and cannot thank you enough for leaving your site up. I also have printed some of your material and have it tucked away in my homeschool 'control' binder. Perhaps you could make a book with this deep treasure you've created.

May you be filled to overflowing with the endless riches of His dear and precious presence.
    Thankful, grateful - but sad,

  29. Dear Lindafay,
    Charlotte Mason Help is wonderful...
I've already grabbed your button,so I can visit often. You have been an encouragement to me, as I have seen you stay steadfast with C.M.

  30. You blog has been a tremendous blessing to me, my family, and anyone I have been able to introduce to it. Thank you for using your gifts to build the kingdom of God one step at a time. 31. Andrea6.8.09

I echo the comments of others. THANK YOU. And for allowing this blog to remain up and for creating the website---we are so very blessed and will continued to be encouraged by the path you have tread before many of us.

  32. Anonymous8.8.09

I just recently found your blog and it has been a great help and blessing to me. I'm just starting HS this fall with my DD8 and your articles helped piece so many things together for me. Your CM Help blog is aptly named! I'm sorry to learn you are leaving blog-dom but so glad I can still gleam from your wisdom - with you having been a PS teacher and HS makes it all the sweeter. Thanks you so much, blessings,M

  33. Lindafay,

  34. Lindafay,

I have so much enjoyed your blog. Thank you for all your wisdom and inspiration. I will continue to return to the archives frequently, no doubt.

    Much love,

  35. Anonymous28.8.09

Just want to add my "ditto" to all of the above. I found your site about a year ago and have been a faithful reader, helped and encouraged many times. I've been fast and furiously making copies for my own 3-ring notebook, just in case I check back here one day and it's no longer open. Your web-site is also helpful, but I miss the comments and your responses. Totally understand how busy you are with your small hobby(?) farm, but I surely will, and already do, miss you and news of your lovely family.

  36. Lindafay, thank you so very much for all of your hard work on this blog. I have learned SO much from you. You have left a very positive mark on our family's homeschool and on my life. I pray that the Lord richly blesses you and your amazing family.

    Hello Lindafay,

I was stunned to read of your step away from blogging, but happy for you nonetheless. I've been revisiting your site to re-engage myself in our CM home, and I am beginning to feel refreshed once again. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

A couple of weeks ago I was visiting your site, and I saw a link (I think it was under Latest Finds) to a host of courses available online through a major university. Unfortunately, I forgot to bookmark it, and now that I've come back to look for it, it's gone. Would you happen to have that link still available, and if so, would you please be so kind as to send it to me? No rush; in your good time.

Thank you so very much, and I wish you much happiness and joy.

    God Bless,

  38. Trisha15.9.09

I can't believe you're going! Thank you so much for your invaluable and practical wisdom.

  39. I was wondering when this day might come for you... I always tried to figure out how you managed it all so well. This site has been such a blessing to me and it is actually what helped me discover my own homeschool curriculum. I, like a few others commenting here, have a binder full of print offs from your posts and am sooooo so glad to see all the stuff organized very beautifully at the help site. You are amazing! I don't know if CM would have ever "come alive" for me without your help :-) Thank you!

  40. I also have printed many of your articles, and found them very inspiring and motivating. When I read your goodbye it made me feel rather sad, but thankyou for sharing your knowledge and tips with us, I'm sure it has helped many.

  41. Just wanted to let you know that I added your new site to the Homeschool Gadget Toolbar for homeschooling moms to use under "Top Homeschooling Websites", Charlotte Mason.

    Love the new site!

  42. Thanks for the mention, Brenda.

  43. I'm aware of the problem with the CM help website. The persons hosting the pictures for my web design have apparently run out of bandwidth. I have contacted them and hope they resolve the issue soon or I will have to redo the website. Please be patient.

  44. My wife just discovered CharlotteMason.com and loves it. Thanks.

  45. You're very welcome.
