Garage Sale Find

While living in Turkey, I used to suffer from garage sale envy when I heard about other people's great finds. (Second hand sales are not part of that culture) So it is with great pride today that I show you what I found the other day at a local garage sale-Pinkie and Blue Boy for ten dollars a piece. They are very large with beautiful gold frames and now adorn the dining room wall, making our home look much classier than the folks that live here actually are.

My grandparents had these hanging in their home...until they moved out of state...the frames look very similar...wonder if they found their way to Texas somehow!

I LOVE to go to yard sales. My mom and I look forward to it every year. I've found so many good deals. It's a ton of fun! Those prints are a great find!

  13. I've heard that these prints were put out by a particular company (forgot the name; it's on the back of the pictures) that sold many household decorations and these were pretty popular back in the fifties. These are about 20 by 30 inches. We haven't studied Gainsborough and Lawrence yet, but the children recognized their work from their Kindergarten years when we played with Child sized Masterpieces.
