Children's Day

Last week Children's Day was celebrated in most cities with parades and traditional dances. It is a national holiday celebrating the importance of children. Children from all around Turkey gather in the capital city,Ankara, and they replace selected members of the government, electing a president and prime minister and they govern Turkey for one day in order to emphasize the importance of the children in the society.
